CCUPCA Member Agency Receives International Recognition

On September 19th, longtime CCUPCA member-agency the Campus Safety Department of the Claremont University Consortium, was honored by the World Safety Organization by being named a recipient of the WSO’s “Educational Award” as a “Concerned Company/Corporation” at its 41st Annual Conference in Houston, Texas.

In receiving this international body’s highest award for any institution, the Claremont Campus Safety Department was honored for its comprehensive campus-oriented public safety programming, which features team leaders at each of the seven colleges and universities it provides crime prevention and emergency services, as well as its new technologies in security, anti-theft and remote emergency management.

The WSO also took pause to highlight the Department’s commitment to employee development, and cited key programs that include Dignitary Protection Support Unit teams, Threat Assessment Services, and its growing portfolio as a new regional training provider for private college and university security professionals under its new Regional Campus Safety Training Center banner.

The California College & University Police Chiefs Association congratulates the men and women of the Claremont University Consortium Campus Safety Department, and its Director, Stan Skipworth, for this achievement.
